MeSo Ventures & Bulgari: The Art of Colour with Lydia Hamblet

On 10 October 2025, in the heart of London, MeSo Ventures teamed up with Bulgari to host a solo exhibition by British painter Lydia Hamblet. Titled The Art of Colour, the show coincided with Bulgari’s launch of its new high jewellery collection, Polychroma, making the evening a vibrant celebration of both art and luxury. The event was captured through the lens of the talented photographer Anya Levi, whose images documented the warmth, colour, and emotion of the night.

A Celebration of Colour: Bulgari Polychroma Meets Lydia Hamblet

Bulgari’s Polychroma collection is a bold ode to colour. The name itself, rooted in the Greek words poly (“many”) and chroma (“colour”), reflects the maison’s creative vision. With this launch, Bulgari presents over 600 new pieces, including high jewellery and watches, rich with gemstones and radiant hues.

MeSo Ventures chose to align with this colour-filled narrative by collaborating on an art exhibition that feels deeply connected to Polychroma’s spirit. Lydia Hamblet’s vibrant canvases — brushed with layered strokes of golden yellows, coral pinks, and lush greens — reflect a joyful, healing energy that mirrors Bulgari’s gem-filled celebration.

Lydia Hamblet: Painting Memory, Motion & Joy

Lydia Hamblet’s work is rooted in emotion, memory, and movement. In her studio, her approach feels raw and alive — she paints from memory, sketching in her mind before translating that vision onto canvas. Her use of colour is not just aesthetic. For Hamblet, painting is an act of resistance. She often says, “Joy is the biggest act of resistance,” and she channels that idea directly into her art.

Her technique combines oil, oil bar, and acrylic, creating layered textures that feel dynamic and luminous. The edges of her works remain visible and raw — drips, fingerprints, and brush marks are part of their story. Through these elements, she preserves the authenticity of her process, offering viewers a sense of how each painting came to be.

A Toast to Heritage: MeSo Ventures × Bulgari × Challiol Charmetant

The evening was elevated by a remarkable collaboration with Challiol Charmetant, a rare Récoltant Coopérateur Champagne crafted by the first Indian vignerons in the historic Champagne region. Tracing its lineage back to the 19th century, this Meunier-rich cuvée — aged for five years in handcrafted magnums — revealed a luminous golden hue and exceptional depth.

MeSo Ventures was honoured to share this distinctive Champagne with guests, celebrating both heritage and innovation. Special thanks to Suchet Singhal and Udit Singhal, custodians of this storied maison, for bringing this extraordinary expression to the event.

The Event: London, Bulgari, & MeSo Ventures

MeSo Ventures curated the exhibition at Bulgari’s London space, making the venue more than just a backdrop. Rather, the gallery became alive with colour, emotion, and dialogue. The evening welcomed guests into a world where fine jewellery and fine art converge.

The timing was significant. The show happened in conjunction with Frieze London 2025, tapping into the energy of the city’s art week. MeSo Venture’s founders, Eirini Meze and Radhika Soni, played key roles in shaping both the visual and experiential narrative of the night. Their curatorial vision emphasised access, creativity, and meaningful exchange between the art and luxury worlds.

Anya Levi: Capturing the Moment

The entire evening was documented by Anya Levi, an artist-photographer whose talent brings out the vibrancy and warmth of live moments. Her photographs captured three essential layers of the event: the glowing canvases, the guests’ reactions, and the emotional energy in the room. Thanks to her eye, the exhibition lives on in visual form — a record of colour, joy, and community.

Why The Art of Colour Matters

This collaboration is more than a showcase: it’s a statement. By bringing together MeSo Ventures, Bulgari, and Lydia Hamblet, the evening reinforced the power of colour as a medium of connection. It also celebrated craft — both the gem-setting mastery of Bulgari and the painterly craft of Hamblet.

Moreover, the event underlined MeSo’s mission: to support emerging artists and foster cultural dialogue. Hosting Lydia Hamblet’s work in a luxury space like Bulgari not only amplified her voice but also invited a new audience to engage with her art in a fresh context.

A Colourful Future

Looking forward, it’s clear that this is not a one-off moment. MeSo Ventures is demonstrating how art and luxury can intersect in meaningful, thoughtful ways. Lydia Hamblet’s radiant paintings seemed a perfect match for Bulgari’s Polychroma ethos — and the success of the evening suggests that more cross-disciplinary, colour-driven collaborations lie ahead.

As MeSo continues to bridge creative worlds, events like The Art of Colour point to a future where art, jewellery, and emotion meet — not just to be seen, but felt.
